"Las 44 cuadras de Jorge Kern"

"Jorge Kern's 44 blocks"

The Fiap (Festival Iberoamericano de Publicidad) was made last month, and the commercial "Las 44 cuadras de Jorge kern" ( Jorge Kern's 44 blocks), made by the agency Madre Buenos Aires for Banco Hipotecario were the only Grand Prix in the television category. The campaign “Dueños” (owners) inspired by 80's heightens the liberties to a person when has a real estate, and in that moment stop to being a renter.
The commercial has a clear inspiration made by 1983's short film “The Crimson Permanent Assurance”, including in the film "The Meaning of Life" directed by Terry Gilliam. The music in the commercial is a cumbia band cover called “Clasiqueros” which played world wide classics , in this case “Last Train to London” of Electric Light Orchestra.
